This is not your average business meeting or referral group.
We are a community of Service-Based Business Owners who participate in a supportive and progressive environment.
THE REASON (THE WHY)
Running a small business can be incredibly rewarding, however it can also be challenging and lonely at times.
The group is designed to support each business owner, increase productivity and contribute to better business outcomes!
GROUP MISSION & ETHOS
- Be authentic in our connections (be honest, open, give without expectation)
- Be supportive of one another (be kind, ask questions rather than assume)
- Be accountable to ourselves and our peers (be honest with yourself, set realistic goals and allow others’ to help you)
- Embody a healthy community spirit (show up, DO as you say, GIVE to others as much as you RECEIVE, treat others as you would like to be treated)
WHO CAN JOIN?
Established service-based business owners are encouraged to participate.
Unfortunately, due to time constraints this group is NOT suitable for START-UPS or PRODUCT-BASED businesses. If you are either of these businesses, please contact these wonderful people:

WHO IS IN THE GROUP?
We are a group of service-based business owners who come from diverse backgrounds with transferable knowledge and skills that help one another be more inspired, motivated, and confident in our businesses.
The group is facilitated by Erin from Daisy Skin who is a passionate entrepreneur in her field of Cosmetic Tattoo, Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Education with a background of 18 years in business support and management.
WHERE DO WE MEET, AND HOW LONG FOR?
We are hosted by City of Canning’s Riverton Library. The meeting room is private, and tickets are required to attend.
The fortnightly meeting on Wednesdays run from 9am - 10:30am. The meeting room is available to us until 11am for anyone who wishes to stay back.
Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early. Doors open at 9am and we will commence shortly after. Latecomers may be turned away.
HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THE GROUP?
The group size is capped at 6 people so that no-one gets lost in the crowd. It's important to us that you are heard and helped.
WHAT DO I BRING?
Pen, paper, laptop and a great attitude!
IS IT REALLY FREE?
Yes it's 100% free.
It is a peer group that is facilitated by Erin who donates her time because community, support and accountability are important to her. There is a very large gap in the market for FREE business support groups, hence the entrepreneur creates what doesn’t exist :)
There are NO funds exchanged, NO expectation of referrals, NO sneaky kickbacks and NO networking fees.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME? (GROUP MEMBER CRITERIA)
- You must be actively operating a service-based business with an ABN.
- Ideally, be aligned with our Mission/Ethos as a cohesive group is more productive!
- Have a “growth mindset” which includes learning from each challenge and be open to feedback (not be defensive or a know-it-all).
- This group is NOT to be used as a whinging circle, advertising or recruitment platform. Let’s keep it real, make no excuses, stay on task and empower each other!
- CONFIDENTIALITY is critical to a support group. All content within the group must not be shared, disclosed or discussed elsewhere.
IS THERE AN AGENDA OR MEETING FORMAT?
The meetings are workshop style where everyone contributes. This is not a group where you take a passive back seat because when you’re in business you need to show up!
An agenda is followed, however no meeting looks the same. Different discussions will take place as it will be reflective of what’s currently happening for each business owner.
CAN I JUST ATTEND ONCE A MONTH, OR EVERY FEW MONTHS?
Ideally, we prefer business owners that can commit to the 90 minute meeting every fortnight because with each meeting we get to know each other and our businesses, therefore with a deeper understanding of one another we’re in a position to authentically help one another.
CAN I JUST ARRIVE ON THE DAY?
No, please do not attend the meeting without a ticket because you will be respectfully turned away, for these reasons:
- There is a group size limit.
- Confidentiality is important and members must trust who they are sharing information with.
