Small Town Romance single launch - The Weather

Small Town Romance celebrate the launch of their latest single, The Weather, at The Wesley Anne. A stark portrait of a couple riding out a relationship long after the rot has set in.

The single is the first taste of an upcoming release that sees the duo stripping things back and holing up in their shed to record a new collection of songs. Bursting with life and finely attuned insights, these songs foreground the effortless musical understanding between them.

It follows their 2024 album Home Fires, which debuted at No. 5 on the Australian Country ARIA Chart and No. 3 on the AIR Chart, and was selected as a PBS Feature Album, a 3RRR Feature Sounds album, and an ABC Country Spotlight album. Add to that three CMAA Golden Guitar nominations, a Music Victoria nomination and a slew of high-profile festivals and supports already under their belt, Small Town Romance have established themselves as an act that is in it for the long haul.

Joining them on the night is Charlotte Le Lievre, whose music hits the heart in the unique tradition of old-time country songwriters. Drawing upon an array of early country and folk styles, Charlotte pays homage to the origins of this music whilst offering up insightful commentary on contemporary dilemmas.
