This fun and friendly class will demystify the world of plants and gardening and give you the confidence to start or even revisit your green journey.
No garden? No problem! You'll learn how to garden indoors, even from your windowsill or balcony!
It's the perfect class for anyone with zero gardening experience, or who has ever accidentally “loved their plant to death.”
What will we cover?
In this introductory session, we’ll explore:
What a plant actually is and how it grows
The key things every plant needs to thrive (light, water, soil, etc.)
The basics of setting up your indoor garden
Easy-to-grow houseplants suited to different light and care levels
Responsible gardening - when indoor plants spread outdoors
Tips on potting, placement, and troubleshooting common plant problems
What will you need?
A notebook is optional for jotting down notes, but your questions and curiosity is a must!

Who will be teaching?
Basil Sarguroh (he/him) is an enthusiastic Master's student in tropical biology and a former research biologist. He is a lifelong plant lover with a passion for making the natural world accessible to everyone.
