Snorkel Out for Climate
Event description
JOIN US FOR THE FIRST EVER SNORKEL-OUT FOR CLIMATE! 🪸
The ocean is changing before our eyes, and the people who spend the most time in it are on the frontlines of witnessing these climate impacts. It’s time to come together and make a statement!
Join us on Sunday, March 16th at Cabbage Tree Bay/Shelly Beach for a powerful in-water demonstration calling for urgent climate action. Together, we’ll be snorkelling out into the bay to create a striking visual moment that amplifies the voices of the dive community for climate action, showing our collective commitment to protecting the dive sites we love.
This event is open to divers, snorkelers, and ocean lovers of all experience levels—whether you're floating on the surface, or diving below, your presence will help send a message to policymakers and the public: the ocean needs bold climate action now.
What to Expect:
- We'll first meet at The Boathouse to hear from inspiring speakers and stories from those witnessing ocean change firsthand
- Then we'll gear up for a powerful in-water demonstration bringing together our ocean community
- There will be media coverage and photo opportunities to make waves beyond the water and a chance to connect with like-minded divers and ocean enthusiasts!
Come be part of the movement and join us in the water! RSVP essential. Bring your own gear (mask, snorkel, fins).
