Event description

So you think you want to be a beekeeper?

For whatever reason you've got the 'bug' and want to get a beehive and 20,000 bees to go in it!

There are a few things to think about before you do this:

  • Are you allowed to keep bees where you live?
  • How will you keep your bees alive?
  • How will you get the honey out of your hive?
  • What do you need to get started?
  • What are the biggest problems for new beekeepers?
  • Who will you turn to when the going gets tough (and it will)?

This is just the tip of the iceberg and nothing to stress over yet. But the truth is that beekeeping is a lot of hard work and perhaps requires more effort than you think. For this reason you need to get along and listen to Dr Anna Carrucan and find out exactly what this is all about. There's nothing better than finding an expert and someone as easy to listen to as Anna to help overcome some of your initial concerns about keeping bees.

Session Details:

Tuesday 11th October @ 7pm

During this session Anna will help you answer the lurking question, Is it too late to back out now?

If you find out that beekeeping is not for you then at least you've only put forward a few dollars to tap into Anna's wealth of wisdom to find out!

If you still want to get your own bees then Anna will be able to point you in the right direction so you start with confidence and have the best chance of serving your bees well.

What do you think? Come and join Anna for this important discussion. It may just save the life of your bees.

We are also offering a Getting Started with Backyard Bees learning program which includes one month free Hive Buddy online group mentoring. This page can be viewed here -
