Description

You've been thinking about writing a book, now is the time to get started!

Join me, Book Coach, Jade Miller for an online session to help you refine your book ideas. You can turn up with no title, no outline and not one chapter written. Bring the idea, (or the three ideas fighting for your attention) and an hour to give them some proper thought.

Using the "So You Wanna Write a Book?" workbook, you'll work through the key questions and considerations to get you closer to a solid plan for writing your book.

These are the same questions I ask every author before they start writing. By the end you'll have your answers on paper and a clearer vision for what comes next.

What we'll work through

  • Your why. What is the real reason you want to write a book?

  • Your idea. Get it all out of your head, identify which one stands out to you the most.

  • Your reader. Who they are, where they'll find your book, and what they'll tell their friends about it.

  • Your point of view. Most people start with a topic. A book needs an argument: what you're for, what you're pushing against, and why you're the one to say it.

  • Your barriers. What's stalled you so far, and what you're willing to do about it.

  • Whether a book is the right tool. Sometimes the answer is a podcast, a course, a keynote or a Substack. Yes, a book coach is telling you a book might not be the answer. I'd much rather you make the right thing. Better to find out now than 20,000 words in.

  • What success looks like. The job you want your book to do once it's out in the world.

This is for you if

  • You're an expert, consultant, coach or leader with a non-fiction book idea

  • "The book" has been on your 'someday' list for years

  • You started, stalled, and want to sort out the foundations before you go again

What to bring

You'll get the workbook when you register. Print it out if you can, then grab a beverage and a pen, and join in!
