So, you want to know more about shared leadership?
Description
Many people ask us this, and what we often say is: shared leadership is not a model you simply plug in. It is an ethos that shapes how an organization lives and breathes, and even within hierarchical structures, it can show up in how leadership is practiced and how power is held and shared. It shows up in how decisions are made, how accountability is practiced, and how people relate to one another in everyday work.
In this session, we’ll offer a window into what that ethos looks like in practice. We’ll explore the principles that guide shared leadership, what it requires to sustain it over time, and where tensions or challenges often surface when shifting from more traditional structures toward something more shared. We’ll also look at what it takes for leadership to be more distributed within existing structures, including hierarchical ones.
There will be space for reflection and conversation about what this might make possible in your own context.
