Description

Hear about innovative approaches to Mens Behaviour Change internships and supportive student placements in Women’s Health

Join us for Episode 3 of our Student Placements Showcase Series, a four-part online lunch & learn event designed for professionals working in Queensland’s Domestic and Family Violence (DFV), sexual violence, and women’s health and wellbeing sector.

This series highlights innovative, best practice approaches to student placements that strengthen the sector and support future workforce development.

Who should attend?

This webinar is primarily for DFV sector organisations and professionals interested in hosting students, improving placement models, and learning from peers.
Students and university professionals are also warmly welcomed to attend and gain insights into sector expectations, placement opportunities, and collaboration pathways.

In Episode 3, we’ll explore:

  • Creative Placement Models in Remote Queensland
Hear from Alison Casey (Lifeline Darling Downs) and the WorkUP team about unique student placements in communities like Roma and St George, where students gain hands-on experience and contribute meaningfully to local services.

  • Internship Insights from YFS
Alex and Simon from YFS will share their experience with a Men’s Behaviour Change Program internship, offering a powerful example of how placements can support both student learning and sector outcomes.

  • Student Stories
Hear directly from students about their placement journeys, challenges, and successes in the DFV and related sectors.

  • Interactive Q&A
Connect with sector leaders, university representatives, and students to ask questions and explore ideas for future placements.

Whether you're looking to host students, enhance your placement program, or build stronger partnerships with education providers, this session will offer practical insights and inspiration.
