Event description

Strengthening Social Cohesion: Insights & Action

As communities across Aotearoa navigate increasing social, political, and economic challenges, the need for strong, connected societies has never been greater. What does social cohesion look like today, and how can we foster a more inclusive and resilient future?

Join The Right Honourable Helen Clark and economist Shamubeel Eaqub as they share key insights from the Helen Clark Foundation’s latest research on social cohesion in New Zealand. Helen will speak to the importance of social cohesion from a New Zealand and global perspective, while Shamubeel will present the results of a large, first-of-its-kind survey on the elements underlying social cohesion in New Zealand, and how we compare with Australia. He will also reflect on what these results mean for our communities, workplaces, and policymakers.

This event is a timely opportunity to engage in an important conversation, hear from leading thinkers, and connect with others committed to building a stronger Aotearoa. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A and the chance to continue the discussion over morning tea.
