Social Impact Measurement Training & Report Launch: Measuring What Matters in Western Sydney
Description
Place-based organisations across Western Sydney play an important role in supporting community wellbeing, while also having to navigate increasingly complex funding and reporting environments. This event brings together community leaders, not-for-profit organisations, place-based services, funders and policymakers to look at how we understand, measure and communicate community impact.
Hosted by Western Sydney Community Forum in partnership with the University of New South Wales, the event will launch the new research report, Delivering Impact Under Pressure: Funding, Reporting and Community Outcomes in Western Sydney. The report looks at how place-based organisations contribute to community wellbeing, the challenges they face in funding and reporting, and opportunities to develop shared approaches to measuring outcomes.
Following the report launch, Dr Jack Noone from the UNSW Centre for Social Impact will lead a practical 90-minute training workshop on measuring and demonstrating community outcomes. The workshop will provide practical tools and guidance to help organisations move beyond counting activities and outputs, identify outcomes that are meaningful and measurable, develop outcomes frameworks, collect and use outcome data, and use outcomes measurement to support learning, advocacy and funding applications.
