    Event description

Kaimahi Hauora is a holistic wellbeing programme for Aotearoa’s social services kaimahi.

Whether you’re working directly with whānau, leading a team, managing a service, or contributing in some other way, Social Service Providers Aotearoa’s Kaimahi Hauora Programme has been created to give back to social services kaimahi across our community-based social sector. SSPA recognises it’s been a really tough few years, so we’ve created this programme to recognise your mahi and champion your wellbeing. If you’re keen to focus on your holistic hauora and develop new understanding, this programme is for you.

The programme incorporates a series of six sessions, designed to weave together, giving you a holistic immersion into focusing on wellbeing and what this means as a social services kaimahi. It will be a special space to be nourished and supported, learning from a range of kaitiaki from different holistic hauora perspectives.

    In this programme we will:

    • Explore a range of themes related to kaimahi hauora, grounded within Te Whare Tapa Whā and the Five Ways to Wellbeing
    • Engage and learn in alignment with the Maramataka
    • Gain practical tools to practice in daily life and share with your fellow hoamahi and your whānau
    • Build community with others working in social services in your region and nationally, who also want to focus on this kaupapa
    • Provide all participants with a Kaimahi Hauora Resource Kete to utilise at the sessions and support learning

Facilitation – the kaitiaki who will guide you

Wellbeing leader and innovator Tuihana Ohia (Ngāi te Rangi, Ngāti Pukenga, Te Arawa, Ngāi Pākehā) will be our lead kaitiaki, navigating kaimahi through the programme from start to finish.

Tuihana Ohia Founder & WooEO - Woo Wellbeing, CSI Associate

Alongside Tuihana, each session will be facilitated by a kaitiaki who brings specific mātauranga and specialist experience on an aspect of holistic hauora.
