Social Skills Group: 'We Thinkers' - for ages 5-8
Description
A fun and supportive group where children can learn, practise and build confidence in everyday social situations.
Through play, group activities and interaction with other children, we help children develop skills for making friends, joining in, communicating with others and navigating social situations.
Children will have opportunities to practise:
Taking turns and sharing with other children
Listening and responding to others
Joining in and participating in group activities
Making and building friendships
Understanding how other people may be feeling
Expressing their own feelings, ideas and needs
Working through disagreements and finding solutions together
Building confidence and self-awareness in social situations
Activities are designed to be engaging, practical and age-appropriate, giving children opportunities to learn through play and real interactions with their peers.
This group runs for 90 minutes over a four day period during the school holidays. Your child will be allocated into one of three groups (Group 1: 9.30-11.00), (Group 2: 12.00-1.30), (Group 3: 2.30-4.00). Please email your preference in time to info@changeforlife.com.au prior to the event.
