Event description

Launching her sophomore EP, "Growing Pains", Sofia Menguita is a Kaurna-based artist who has delicately been crafting her own sound universe that fuses pop, rock, and dusty folk, with deeply-felt writing. This new record reflects on love and yearning rooted in her adolescence. Breaking away from her full band setting, she will be touring as a duo with her guitarist and long-time partner, Matthew Burgess.

Sofia will be joined by Wollongong-based singer/songwriter, Gerty Balbao. She started singing at a very young age and has continued to improve her musical abilities by having learnt to play the guitar, keys, and drums. Her melancholic lyrics are inspired from past experiences while her style is influenced by Lizzy McAlpine, Searows, and Adam Melchor.
