What happens when strangers share table?
Join Soft Hours for a slower kind of lunch designed around one simple idea: making space for conversations you wouldn't have had otherwise.
This one is mostly self-hosted. There won't be a host hovering over your table or running an agenda. Just rock up, grab your seat, and meet the strangers you're sharing lunch with. We'll give you some conversation sheets with prompts to get things going if you need them. From there, it's up to you.
Your $5 table reservation secures your seat and will be FULLY credited towards your meal during the event.
Before the event, you'll pre-order one sando or one bento from Stay Gold Flamingo's menu (below), and every order comes with a complimentary coffee. Because good conversations are even better over lunch and coffee.
Come alone. Come hungry. Talk to someone you've never met.
Cancellation: As food is prepared based on reservations, cancellations after the RSVP deadline are not eligible for a refund.

- Why lunch with strangers?
Because most of us spend our time with the same people;friends, colleagues, family, or the familiar faces we see every week. This is an opportunity to step outside your usual circle and have conversations you might never have had otherwise.
You don't have to leave with a new best friend. Sometimes one interesting conversation or a fresh perspective is enough.
- Do I have to come with someone?
Not at all! This event is designed for people coming on their own. Everyone is here to meet new people.
- What does the $5 reservation cover?
Your $5 reservation secures your seat and will be fully credited towards your meal during the event.
- Can I order something else?
The event includes a pre-order for one sando or one bento to help the venue prepare. You're welcome to purchase additional food or drinks directly from the café on the day.
- What if I have dietary requirements?
Please let us know during checkout. We'll do our best to accommodate your request with the venue where possible.
