SOFT STAR w/EBOP @ THE SCENIC HOTEL | FRI 30TH MAY 2025

soft star is the recording project of Kaurna-based musician Jesse Davidson. After a long hiatus from solo work—during which he performed with local bands Ponybite, Ricky Albeck & the Belair Line Band, and Dark Daze—he returns with a new single, Rage Quitting. 

Recorded live over two days in Los Angeles at Hound Sound Recording with producer Sam Plecker (Father John Misty, Vista Kicks) and local LA-based musicians, the track blends indie and country influences in a marked departure from his earlier sound. 

Following recent performances in Guangzhou, China, and Naarm (Melbourne), soft star returns to launch the single on May 30 at the Scenic Hotel, joined by a new live band of local heroes—Caelyn Judson, Jarrad Lee Jackson, and Frank Atkinson—alongside guest vocalists. 

Support comes from indie rock savant Ebop, performing with a full band.
