Soil and salt - Lake Cargelligo
Description
Salinity is a hidden problem - even if you can't see it......yet. In the Central West of NSW, dryland salinity is a growing issue that can quietly reduce your crop and pasture yields.
Event details:
Central West Local Land Services invites you to come along to a free, hands-on workshop and learn how to spot the signs early and manage salinity before it hurts your bottom line.
What you'll see and do:
Find out how to detect salinity early and protect your farm's productivity.
Bring a soil sample from your own paddock to test. You will also have the opportunity to take home a specialised soil kit to use in an ongoing monitoring program for your farm.
Get your hands dirty with Salt Specialist, Andrew Wooldridge, in a soil pit session focused on practical solutions.
