Solar for Renters

Want to use renewable energy for a more affordable price while renting? In this 1 hour online talk Mamoon Reza from Equity Solar will explain how renters can use renewable solar energy to power their homes. He will share with us the somewhat hidden option of peer to peer trading, currently only offered by a few energy providers for NSW and VIC residents and one they don't promote. Mamoon will teach us what peer to peer trading is and how you can start accessing it today.

A bit about Mamoon: Mamoon is a Newtown resident and father of two teenagers. He has a background in Engineering and Project Management and maybe known to some of you through his volunteering work with local Climate and Environmental groups. After a 28-year career in IT, he decided to go back to Uni and recently attained a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability from the University of Sydney. He is the founder of Equity Solar – a social enterprise enabling renewable energy transition for everyday people. An Engineer at heart, he has transformed his home into an energy positive household and was recently interviewed by SBS and the Sydney Morning Herald for his views on home electrification. Mamoon is also a member of Solar Citizens, Parents 4 Climate, ACF's Inner West group and Newtown Climate.
