    Event description

Program will include our film, 'Soles', a Behind the Scenes Documentary and a short QnA with cast, crew & students from the program.

Mountain of Youth is a grassroots  filmmaking mentorship program for young people in the Blue Mountains that supports youth in need by turning their life experiences and stories into film. We believe in the power of telling stories to transform the world and change lives.

Our program focuses on the stories of young people as a way to bring healing and transformation to their lives.  Our program is run by young blue mountains creatives who believe in giving back to their community. The students have been taken through the entire production process from script development to casting, producing, costume/set design and everything else that it takes to create a film. Throughout the process, our students have gained invaluable knowledge and confidence, learning more about the world of filmmaking, the importance of community and most importantly themselves.

Synopsis of film - In Katoomba there is a myth, that if you throw your shoes over the powerlines at the exact moment the train passes, a wish is granted that can bend time and space. In a desperate attempt to save their friendship Jude And Ez call upon the power of the myth and set out to find the shoes with the most memories so they can change their fate.
