Seeing the System: Understanding Racism and Building Solidarity in Action (2 hours)
If you’ve ever wondered:
Where do I start?
How do I respond to racism?
What does solidarity actually look like in practice for workplaces?
This session is for you.
Together, we explore how racism operates across structural, institutional and interpersonal levels, and how it uniquely impacts migrant and refugee women and gender-diverse people in workplaces and communities.
You will:
Understand how racism is embedded in systems and everyday interactions
Recognise its specific impacts on migrant and refugee women and gender-diverse people
Reflect on your own position, influence and responsibility
Explore individual and collective actions you can take for systemic change.
Learn about reporting and support pathways and resources to support people experiencing racism.
Fully subsidised places are available for staff from community organisations, including frontline and managerial roles. Community representatives, leaders, and advocates are also warmly welcome. No cost will be incurred, please book via the link below.
