Event description

Date: Monday, June 23, 2025
Time: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Fort Missoula Native Plant Garden
Cost: $110 MNHC members, $125 non-members

Join MNHC and Chandra Brown, founder and director of the Missoula-based Freeflow Institute, for three evening hours of Solstice Writing Immersion. Curious humans of all backgrounds and skill levels are invited. There is NO prerequisite of prior experience with writing, yoga, or breathwork. All are welcome.

In this unique and experimental workshop, you can expect to write, move, and breathe. We will stretch our physical bodies, moving through a few friendly and helpful yoga flows. (Bodies of all shapes, sizes, and abilities are welcome.) We’ll play with some breathing techniques in hopes of stirring our creative energies from their hibernation. We’ll consider the stories that exist within water, exploring different expressions of flow and rhythm. We will write into this seasonal apex of light, mining our shared space for the seeds of stories and building creative community.

Light refreshments provided. Attendees are welcome to bring additional food, snacks, and/or drinks.

This writing workshop will be hosted outside at the Fort Missoula Native Plant Garden.
