Although renowned for its quality, Massachusetts’ healthcare system is threatened by growing and diverse challenges to our healthcare workforce. An equipped, trained and supported health workforce is needed to deliver medicine and technologies to communities, but many health workers face high levels of stress, burnout and other challenges including barriers to furthering their education and training.

The healthcare workforce challenge has the full attention of Massachusetts legislative and policy leaders, who recognize the need for urgency and creative policies. At this timely forum, hear from leading experts across the healthcare spectrum on solutions to help retain talent and expand the Massachusetts healthcare workforce pipeline.

Leaders in private industry recognize the crisis in care created by workforce shortages. The healthcare workforce challenge is one that event sponsor Johnson & Johnson has long been working to address. J&J is proud to advocate for, elevate, and empower the nursing profession, because nurses are the backbone of health care. With innovative mindsets, invaluable insights, and hands-on experience, nurses are uniquely positioned to move health care forward.

Register for this MASSterList Newsmaker event to learn more about the healthcare workforce challenge, and what government and the private sector are doing and can do to address it.
