SOMATIC BREATHWORK | Cronulla

Somatic Breathwork combines two powerfully therapeutic techniques, Conscious Connected Breathwork and Bioenergetics. Connecting the inhale with the exhale, using embodied movement and sound to bring us into connection with our body. It can be an activating practice, where we stimulate the nervous system in a safe and intentional way.

The charge that we build is eventually released from the body, allowing us to:

  • Enter expanded flow states
  • Build resilience within the nervous system
  • Optimise your breathing
  • Enhance creativity.
  • Increase mental and physical performance
  • Release and integrate repressed emotions
  • Unravel subconscious patterns and beliefs

Conscious connected breath and Bioenergetics helps quiet the prefrontal cortex, known as the monkey mind, so those who have struggled with meditation in the past have found this to change their experience. This breathwork allows us to build charge (or energy) within the body to access expanded states of consciousness, which allows to deeply heal and release things stuck in the mind, body and nervous system. It allows us to bypass the logical mind and go deep within, to see ourselves clearly and to feel what needs to be healed.

Psychegetics holds a safe and nurturing place where breathers can partake in a unique journey. Whether you are new to breathwork or a regular practitioner, come and explore these simple, yet potent healing modalities to help let go of traumas, limiting beliefs, patterns and bodily tension/armouring, that which is weighing you down, holding you back or keeping you stuck, so you can create space for what you truly desire and wish to call in.

In this session, you can expect:

  • Bioenergetics routine- A grounding breathwork practice to connect with your body and prepare your nervous system
  • Setting intentions
  • Introduction to the breathwork style
  • Conscious Connected Breathwork music journey
  • Integration and optional sharing within the group.

We advise soft, comfortable clothing allowing freedom around the stomach, ribs, and chest. We recommend avoiding consuming a large meal 1.5-2 hours before the session.

Bring a light blanket and water. Yoga mats are provided.

As a certified a trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator, Pete Volos from Psychegetics will guide and support you through the whole process. Pete is also a qualified Plant Medicine Guide, Somatic Therapist and Kinesiologist.
