Somatic Ecstatic Conscious Dance emphasizes the somatic, or body-centered, approach to ecstatic dance. Rooted in the principles of somatics, this practice encourages participants to deeply tune into their bodily sensations, allowing their movements to arise organically from within.

Somatic Ecstatic is a transformative and holistic conscious dance that combines the principles of somatic awareness with the liberating and expressive elements of ecstatic dance. Participants are invited to reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner selves through free-form dance and mindful movement. In a safe and non-judgmental space, individuals are encouraged to explore their natural rhythms, release stress, and experience the joy of embodied expression. By integrating breath, intention, and spontaneous motion, Somatic Ecstatic fosters a deep sense of presence, community, and personal growth, allowing dancers to tap into their innate vitality and creativity.

Moving together in community brings solidarity and grows empathy, compassion and love. When we dance we can not hate.

The Dancing Dhevas community is a group dedicated to dancing with passion and authenticity, there is no talking and yet so much is communicated on dance floor. We started in 2010 and have grown organically into a thriving community of young and old, dancers and non dancers, movers and groovers from all walks of life.

No right or wrong or set moves, open up to a world of possibilities beyond your imagination on an open dance floor with great music.

6:30 to 9pm, DOORS SHUT at 7:00 no entry after then.

Please bring a water bottle, put away phones and shoes before entering the dance floor.

No shoes, we dance bare foot to ground and connect with the earth, freeing your feet will free the body as well as the mind.

No talking on the dance floor, the space becomes safe to express and feel into your dance when the mind pauses the need to communicate through words. Keep the space safe for each other.

NEW TO DANCING DHEVAS...

The ecstatic dance is a process of delving into your own individual, original dance, it is so unique to you and how you move that it can not be reproduced by anyone else. This gives us the freedom from constraints and judgements so we can explode our potential to move until it unleashes the dancer within. The room takes on a different energy as everyone drops into their dance and natural ecstasy is reached.

We have been teaching Conscious dance in WA for 14 years, trained in various modalities and taught numerous classes, workshops and retreats. The essence never changes, the purity and simplicity humbles us each time we step onto the dance floor and we are ever grateful to the community around us and the earth that holds us.
