Somatic Mycelial Walk, Communing with the Forest
Event description
Learn to listen to the subtle communication of mycelial networks running through the forest. Through gentle tracking of our bodies and orienting to different, trees, mushrooms and plants, we'll start to build relationship with how interconnected and reciprocally dependent we are in the great web of life.
Bring a lunch, water, snacks and a basket or cloth bag and a small knife to gather mushrooms (up to 5lbs a person) and other wild edibles of the forest, bay nuts, herbs, acorns for bringing home and eating. I will help you learn to identify and sustainably harvest your own wild food while we co-regulate with the forest and somatically tune our systems to a gentler rhythm of presence and interdependence. Learn some basics of tending to wild ecosystems as you harvest.
Starts at 10am at the Bear Valley Ranger Station Pt. Reyes and goes til 2pm. You can leave earlier if you can only come for a few hours. I look forward to seeing you out there. Kids free with purchase of ticket from their parents or guardian.
