Somatic Support Circle
Event description
An intimate group container to share authentic, raw expression with non-judgmental community support
4-week series, every other Thursday
7-9 pm on 5/29, 6/12, 6/26, & 7/10
Embodied sharing meets psychodrama meets somatic healing
In this container, we will use somatic practices and embodied group shares to move through what we are holding and come into deeper connection with ourselves and each other.
This particular form of circling (based on Zegg Forum) offers a supportive container for you to reveal your inner experience, transform how you are relating to it, receive loving witness, and feel your healing ripple through the community holding you.
This offering is for you if you:
- long to have your authentic experience be seen and heard
- desire a consistent space to co-regulate with caring community
- are ready to feel lighter, open, expansive, and more connected to your true self
- know you need support to emotionally & somatically process what you’re holding
- are interested in exploring your inner world in a more expressive and playful way
- are tired of therapeutic work being individualized, privatized, & inaccessible
This space is held by Lux Gypsum, a seasoned facilitator who will draw on practices and perspectives from:
• Zegg Forum: a ritualized form of open, transparent, and authentic sharing in a group setting
• Somatic Experiencing (SE): a body-based trauma healing modality that focuses on supporting our nervous systems
• Internal Family Systems: a therapeutic modality that supports us to understand and connect with different 'parts' of ourselves
If you are interested in joining, fill out this form to receive the access code.
Will everyone have time to share every week?
Depending on the group size, there may not be time for everyone to share in during the embodied sharing circle.
However, there will always be some kind of group warm up and sometimes small group shares to support everyone in being able to participate and be witnessed even if there isn't space for you to do a full share in the circle.
Do I need to have prior experience with somatics to join?
No, you do not have to have any background in somatic modalities in order to join this space. However, it is important that you come with some amount of curiosity and openness to trying something new and experiencing whatever you are processing in a different way.
Quotes from past participants:
"Lux's support circle workshop was wonderful. I attended at a time I really was longing for support, but wasn't sure what or how to ask for it. The structure, clear container and leadership created a space where it flowed naturally. I felt held and in control of my needs the whole time."
- Genevieve, participant in past Somatic Support Circle
“Lux is a gifted leader and instructor. You learn from the instruction and listening to each other. Beautiful healing takes place simply by showing up.” - Anne, participant in Embodied Liberation

$100-250 for the 4-week series ($25/session).
Sliding Scale Guidance:
A sliding scale is an equity-based payment structure where the participant’s financial situation informs the rate they pay for a service.
The bullet points listed below are just a few examples to help guide your self-assessment. I trust you to factor in these considerations and choose the level that feels right for you at this moment.
Choose a rate on the low end ($100-150) of the sliding scale if you:
- Do not have a financial safety net
- Have large debt or student loans
- Are Black, Indigenous, or otherwise systemically disadvantaged based on your identities
Choose a rate in the middle ($150-200) of the sliding scale if you:
- Can go out to eat without thinking about your finances
- Have a salaried job with benefits
- Have family that would financially support you if you needed it
Choose a rate on the high end ($200-250) of the sliding scale if you:
- Own property or other significant assets
- Make over $100K per year
- Never feel scared of not having enough
Please pay at the highest rate that you are able to, and know that there is no ceiling. Your generosity supports me in offering spots to those who are unable to pay.
