Do note that Somatic Vocal Healing is NOT for aspiring singers to be, or those who want to learn vocal techniques to sing better. Somatic Vocal Healing goes deeper than just trying to sound good. We will work with your voice through authentic vocal sounding with 40 different mantras and soundscapes composed by my teacher Jacob Vermeulen from Songdance.

I invite you to join me on this self-healing journey to start connecting and loving your unique vocal instrument that you carry with you, and unlock the stories and traumas you might have been carrying subconsciously to be released through sound making.

This container holds up to 10 individuals who want to commit to working with your voice, and must be willing to attend all 8 sessions to see results and build community.

Joey’s voice therapy is WHAT EVERYONE NEEDS. It seems like it’s too simple to be true yet super necessary for healing- ONLY IF you are willing to listen and give it a chance. “Simple” sometimes means foundational. So if you are trying to heal, this is definitely one of the foundations you can start with alongside other healing modalities. I found that using Joey’s sound therapy helped me to release stuck emotions- in every part of my body. I had realised words alone truly cannot express 100% of how we feel BUT if we used our voice- we can finally (rather, actually all along) do that. The first time I’d tried it with Joey, I was so surprised- like “how could we have not known about this all along!” Our voices do possess the power to relief and heal ourselves- but we’ve been so disconnected from our bodies and conditioned to listen only outside of ourselves, that we have forgotten the true ability of our voice. Before we had learnt to speak in words- whether as a baby or a civilisation - we had known that our voice could express our unique thoughts and emotions way more effectively than externally invented words alone. So I urge you to try it- Joey is such a great guide and teacher. She is so patient and was able to explain everything to me clearly so I could also practice my voice when I’m alone. Sometimes I’d forget to do so, but a friendly catch up with Joey over the phone now and then reminds me that I have my voice to heal myself.

Thank you for the amazing vocal sound healing session! There were lots of the emotions came up after that session.
