Discover Grenache [ONLINE]

Welcome to Sommeliers Australia's online tasting series ‘Discover Variety’.

For our next ‘Discover Variety’ online tasting, join Sommeliers Australia’s Geoffrey Hunt (Peppers The Louise) and Marcell Kustos (Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant) and guest winemaker, Ian Hongell (Torbreck) as they explore Grenache. 

When it comes to Grenache in Australia, the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale vie for dominance. During this session, 2 local examples will go head-to-head against each other, and will then be compared against a Grenache (blend) from the Rhone. 

Geoffrey, Marcell and Ian will taste and discuss the use of Grenache in Australia and how our local production compares with international examples.

This session will be hosted on Zoom, at 3pm AEDT.
