Written and directed by Jacob Franklin, Son is a short film that follows a father and son as they ditch responsibilities for a day of freedom, fun and connection - before reality closes in.

Join us for a special one-night screening celebrating the remarkable work of lutruwita/Tasmanian filmmakers and artists.

Audience advisory: This film includes a brief scene involving fake blood. Recommended for audiences aged 15 and over.

The night includes:

  • Screening of Son

  • Live Q&A with the director and key cast & crew

  • A chance to mingle with fellow filmmakers and creatives
