Emily Barker returns to her hometown with her guitar playing friend, Luke Dux (Kangaroos with Machine Guns, Kill Devil Hills, Thornbird) to perform songs spanning her 13 albums and poems from her two books.
Emily first graced our space as a sixteen year old some 30 years ago, performing with three school friends - that was a spine tingling moment for me - that feeling is replicated every time she sets foot on our stage. Her songs move audiences deeply and her connection to the Blackwood River Valley is evidenced with every note.
