Songs from the Porch of Life

For those that have not experienced a “Songwriters In The Round,” just imagine a group songwriters/musicians visit your home. They sit down, plug in and just start to share their stories, their views on life, love and laughter with music.  It’s purposely unrehearsed, unscripted and raw. It’s not a duo, a trio or a band.  It’s multiple shows on stage at once.  As we like to say:

• Four stools
• Four microphones
• Four singer/songwriters
• Over three hours of music, stories, banter and laughter

The show is different as it includes a variety of genres including pop, soul, blues, country, folk, old time, rock and even the odd silly song, to keep things interesting.  All within the "Songs from the Porch of Life" theme.

This is done through a careful blend of musicians and instruments on stage combined with an unscripted show.  Yes there is a basic run sheet but rarely do the artists stick to it.  This means no two shows are ever the same.

The show has been touring regional NSW for the past 12 months and recently gained support from the Create NSW government initiative.  We are pleased to welcome local duo "My Sister and I " on stage to open or us.
