Holding Space have invited practitioners from Aaiotanga Community Space to talk about: 'What is regeneration' with special guest speaker Ecologist: Chris Ferkins.

We will have an open discussion around 'how music and art can make a difference for climate action’ and talk about some local artwork by Chris Dews and 'What is our vision of a thriving regenerative Tamaki Makaurau?’

A preview of some songs by the Songwriters4ClimateAction group will be shared throughout the workshop.

Songwriters 4 Climate Action is a project intended to bring together community-based performers through a series of workshops and activities; to help support and inspire them to develop songs and artwork that highlight the challenges and hopes for climate action. Our aim is to work towards live performances and record songs / creative content (to a professional standard) that we can share on multiple platforms to help spread awareness and positivity around this kaupapa. Through this process we hope to build a supportive arts community and learn a thing or two along the way.

Holding Space Aotearoa is a Community Arts Trust with a focus on workshops, open mics and community engagement; creating opportunities & content for local artists in Tāmaki Makaurau.
