Songwriters in the Round with Andy King, Bright Kelly, and Joe Harley
Andy King

Andy started his music journey in Delaware as a singer/ songwriter before faking his way into being the bass player for Jack of Diamonds...which paved the way for a temporary replacement gig when Philly band The Hooters lost their bass player to a broken hip in a car accident. The temp gig turned into 4 years of touring the country and the world and two albums on Columbia Records. Left the Hooters in 1988 to pursue a solo career...winning Most Promising New Artist from the Philadelphia Music Alliance. Played with Garry Lee and other in the Rhythm Cats Review in the early 90's ..In 2000 he stumbled into a job on the first season of Survivor , which led to a move to LA and 8 years in reality TV . Moved home in 2009 to care for his parents for 7 years. Joined Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen's project " In The Pocket " in 2018 . Now back to doing solo acoustic gigs...and happy about it.
Bright Kelly

Bright Kelly fronted The Great Enough before going solo, hitting arena stages as the opener for some of the biggest alternative rock bands in the world. The band’s first single crested a million streams in barely a month and catapulted them into … well, not fame, but regional notoriety, for sure.
When the pandemic struck, Bright embarked on a solo career. More introspective. More experimental. Same car, different gear.
As a session vocalist he's stood next to members of the Plastic Ono Band, Parliament-Funkadelic, and the Dave Matthews Band, on work that ranges from children's music to country and everything between.
He's currently finishing Beggartown, a 14-track concept record that examines anticapitalist and antifascist themes. Concept albums are supposedly a bad idea in this economy. He's testing that theory anyway.
None of this explains why John Hiatt once needed a guitar handed to him mid-set. He did, though, and Bright Kelly happened to have one, and in exchange for the loan, he got to stand three feet away from a surprise acoustic performance of “Have a Little Faith in Me.”
There’s nothing like the music life.
