Glass Half Full is pleased to present two performances of Sonia's Stormy Saturday and a one-off showing of Judy Saves The Day, as a collection of shows for the whole family!

Judy Saves the Day!
Written & Performed by Sarah Nolen After being pushed around for over 300 years, the famous hand puppet heroine Judy, has had enough! Cheer for her as she goes on a quest for respect, justice, and a well-deserved nap. This modern interpretation of the traditional "Punch and Judy" show is a hilarious, timely, hand-crafted farce that the whole family will enjoy!

Sonia's Stormy Saturday (o, El Sábado de Sonia):

8-year-old Sonia is scared of the dark. Sonia, her mother, and brother Seba move into a new apartment after a natural disaster displaces them, when she is spooked by a big storm. With the help of a giant magical creature, she will discover her light within.

We will be performing this bilingually, with one performance in Español and one in English (with some Spanish).

About Sarah Nolen:
Sarah Nolen is known for creating versatile, witty, imaginative productions that inspire people of all ages. At Puppet Showplace Theater in Brookline, Massachusetts, she performs regularly for youth and family audiences and teaches puppetry in camps, workshops, and adult classes. Sarah has appeared in the National Puppet Slam, at the Puppets in the Green Mountains Festival, and the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival. She has toured internationally to Spain, Turkey, and Canada. Sarah earned her BFA in Cinema-Television from Southern Methodist University, and her MFA in Puppet Arts from the University of Connecticut.

Sonia's Stormy Saturday (o, El Sábado de Sonia):

Sonia, de 8 años, le teme a la oscuridad. Sonia, su madre y su hermano Seba se mudan a un nuevo apartamento después de que un desastre natural los obligara a dejar su hogar; allí, una gran tormenta la asusta. Con la ayuda de una criatura mágica gigante, descubrirá su propia luz interior.

Presentaremos esta obra de manera bilingüe, con una función en español y otra en inglés (con algo de español).
