About the facilitators
Ria Soemardjo is a Melbourne based musician with a passion for collaborations across a diverse range of genres and artforms. Ria has created and performed music for independent contemporary dance and theatre projects in Australia & Asia. Her evocative, textured soundscapes are often performed live using an eclectic array of unusual instruments including voice, gamelan, frame drums and her own hand crafted clay flutes and drums.
Live Particle is the collaboration between Angela Clarke and Camilla Maling, specialists in embodiment, education, therapeutics, and creativity. Together, they bring the transformative power of embodied practice into mainstream settings. Their work spans schools, universities, communities, galleries, arts studios, prisons, flexible education environments, and domestic violence recovery programs. Drawing from a wide-range of body-based modalities, their approach blends creativity, learning, and therapy. Using haptic tools, kinaesthetic techniques, and somatosensory kits, they promote curiosity, play, and physical improvisation. Their experiential, imaginative, and relational strategies help reduce stress and anxiety, support trauma processing, and inspire creativity.
