SORTEE 2024

Register to join the discussion at the 2024 conference of the Society for Open, Reliable, and Transparent Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (SORTEE).

SORTEE is a service organization that brings together researchers working to improve reliability and transparency through cultural and institutional changes in ecology, evolutionary biology, and related fields broadly defined.

Registration Fees

a) Attending as a 2024 SORTEE member: FREE (donations welcome)

To become a SORTEE member visit https://www.joinit.org/o/sortee/ (SORTEE membership fees range from $10 and $40 depending on career stage and also have a free option).

N.B. Your member ID can be found in your account on the membership information page on the SORTEE joinit website.

b) Attending as a non-member: prices range from $30-$60 depending on career stage

c) Conference waivers: FREE

Members of the following fee-waiving organizations are eligible: Ecological Association of Terrestrial Ecology (AEET), American Society of Naturalists, Canadian Science Publishing, Dryad, and Peer Community In.

If for any reason you are unable to pay by credit card, a direct bank transfer can be arranged by contacting SORTEE’s treasurer Alexa Fredston (treasurer.sortee@gmail.com).

Schedule

The conference schedule features 'unconference' discussions, hackathons, workshops, social mixers, and two plenary presentations. We are pleased to announce our plenary presenters Kate Laskowski and Hu Chuan-Peng. The preliminary schedule will be available soon via our website.

Accessibility

The 2024 SORTEE conference will be held on Zoom, with the continuous conference program spanning all time zones.

Presentations will be in English and auto-captioning (in English) will be enabled for all presentations.
