SORTEE 2025

Register to join the 2025 conference of the Society for Open, Reliable, and Transparent Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (SORTEE). To receive updates about the conference, please join our mailing list here.

SORTEE is a service organization that brings together researchers working to improve reliability and transparency through cultural and institutional changes in ecology, evolutionary biology and related fields.

Registration Fees

a) Are you attending as a 2025 SORTEE member? Entry is FREE, but donations are welcome.

To become a SORTEE member, go to https://www.joinit.org/o/sortee/. SORTEE membership fees range from $10 to $40, depending on career stage, and there is also a free option.

Please note that your member ID can be found on the membership information page of your account on the SORTEE Join It website.

b) Attending as a non-member? Prices range from $30 to $60*

*depending on your career stage.

c) Conference waivers: FREE

Members of the following fee-waiving organizations are eligible: American Society of Naturalists, Canadian Science Publishing, DRYAD, Peer Community In, the Royal Society publishing, The Society for the Study of Evolution, and The Company of Biologists.


If you are unable to pay by credit card for any reason, you can arrange a direct bank transfer by contacting SORTEE’s treasurer, Alexa Fredston (treasurer.sortee@gmail.com).

Schedule

The conference program will be available on our website once the full schedule is complete.

We look forward to your participation in our unconferences, hackathons, workshops, introductory seminars, and plenary presentations. This year, the plenary speakers will be:

Accessibility

The 2025 SORTEE conference will be held on Zoom, with the continuous conference program spanning all time zones.

Presentations will be mainly in English and auto-captioning (in English) will be enabled for all of the presentations. If the session is conducted in another language, interpreters will provide English translations.
