SORTEE Workshop: Quarto for reproducible analyses
Event description
Quarto is an "open-source scientific and technical publishing system" developed by Posit, the makers of RStudio and the Tidyverse. Building on the legacy of RMarkdown, Quarto lets users render a variety of scientific outputs - documents, presentations, dashboards, websites, and more - using the same underlying system and formatting. In this workshop we'll give an introduction on the basics of the Quarto system, discuss how it can help us do more reproducible science, and lead a brief tutorial on writing analyses in Quarto to get you started with using it in your own research.
This workshop is the first half of a 2-part series on Quarto by SORTEE, presented as a collaboration between the Workshop & Webinar series and the Code Club. We invite attendees to join Coding Club for the second half on May 20, where we'll lead a hands-on tutorial on writing scientific papers as Quarto documents. Please note that Coding Club is restricted to SORTEE members, you can join on our website here.
