  • Have you always wanted to do research but were unsure of how to get started?
  • Has your CARS research proposal been accepted?  Would you like help getting started?
  • Do you need support with your scholarly inquiry research project?
  • Are you tackling your first research ethics board application and need another set of eyes?
  • Are you interested in designing a research project based on your teaching experience?
  • Do you want to brainstorm ideas for a research project and find interested co-researchers?
  • Are you experiencing writers’ block?

If you have answered yes to any one of these questions, then please drop in on any or all of the workshop dates, reserving an hour of your time that is devoted to creating an encouraging safe space that fosters community, shares resources and expertise, and helps faculty stay motivated and move forward with their research goals.

Note: These are drop-in sessions, and you are welcome to join one or all of them.

What is the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL)?

SoTL is a growing field in post-secondary education that uses systematic, deliberate and methodological inquiry into teaching (behaviours/practices, attitudes, and values) to improve student learning (Potter & Kustra, 2011).

If you have any questions, please contact Mary Giovannetti, Bettina Boyle, or Lydia Watson.
