The Bornemann presents a night of timeless music and masterful performances!

The Soul Seekers: Timeless Classics with Heart and Soul

The Soul Seekers are a North County San Diego band rooted in the soft classic rock of the late '60s and '70s, delivering an eclectic mix of classic rock, pop, R&B, and contemporary Christian music. Their repertoire features hits from The Moody Blues, Van Morrison, Linda Ronstadt, Chicago, and more, bringing audiences a joyful and uplifting experience. Lead vocalist Pastor Bruce De Soto and his wife, Claudia Cobian, share over 40 years of worship and performance experience. At the same time, guitarist Mark Wood (“Woody”) and bassist/keyboardist Dana Marver add decades of professional musicianship. Drummer Memo Acevedo, a renowned percussionist and former NYU professor, completes the lineup, adding world-class rhythm and energy.

With just two years together, The Soul Seekers have left a mark on the local music scene, impressing audiences with their vibrant sound and positive energy. Their goal is simple: to have fun and fill the air with music that lifts the human spirit. Collectively boasting about 233 years of professional musicianship, they continue to captivate listeners and create unforgettable memories wherever they play.

Friends & Enablers – A Band with Deep Roots and Timeless Groove

San Diego’s Friends & Enablers is a dynamic band featuring seasoned musicians with a rich history in songwriting, recording, and live performance. Blending elements of rock, Americana, and beyond, their sound is both soulful and eclectic, driven by tight musicianship and heartfelt storytelling.

Fronted by award-winning singer-songwriter David Beldock (guitar, vocals, keys), the band boasts the versatile and globally experienced Ian Vatet (guitar), renowned bassist Paul Beach, whose credits span from legendary ’60s acts to local music projects, and veteran drummer Gerry Reba, whose six-decade career includes collaborations with icons like Greg Allman, Maria Muldaur, and Rickie Lee Jones.

Together, Friends & Enablers deliver compelling performances and finely crafted songs, proving that experience, passion, and groove never go out of style.

  • David Beldock (Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Songwriting) – Award-winning songwriter and guitarist, with music featured on The Dr. Demento Show and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

  • Ian Vatet (Guitars) – Versatile guitarist and composer, performing from Brazil to Singapore and backing legends like Bo Diddley.

  • Paul Beach (Bass) – Seasoned bassist with touring credits including The Mamas and The Papas, The Association, Gary Puckett, and Spanky & Our Gang.

  • Gerry Reba (Drums) – Veteran drummer with a 61-year career, recording and performing with icons like Greg Allman, Rickie Lee Jones, and Spencer Davis.
