Soul Songs: In the Round - Valleys to Mountains
Description
You are warmly invited to join the Soul Songs Collective for an inspiring night of music and collaboration at Tugun Village Community Centre on Saturday 3rd October.
Soul Songs: In the Round - Valleys to Mountains reunites 8 inspiring singer/songwriters who will share the stage for a collaborative night of music to warm the heart & nourish the soul, following on from three inspiring performances in 2025, including LoveFest on the Gold Coast, where they received a standing ovation and demands for an encore.
The evening will be centred around the theme "VALLEYS TO MOUNTAINS", and you are invited to explore the theme and what it speaks to you in the lead up to the night. This may be different for everyone, however the inspiration for the theme came from the concept of emerging from the valleys, or challenges in our life, to climb the mountain - to overcome the challenge and see things from a new perspective. Perhaps for the nature lover, it will bring about reflections on times physically traversing from valleys to mountains - and taking in the view!
The night will feature some of the Gold Coasts finest seasoned and upcoming musicians, who write songs that inspire, empower, heal and elevate their audiences, offering a soothing balm to restore, reset and uplift the heart. The audience are taken on a journey, traversing moments of harmony, joy, story and authentic expression with the occasional invitation to spontaneous outbursts of song - to sing from the mountaintops!
The artists:
Kate Leopold
Julie Hayes
Christiaan Ramsay
Josh Hale
Dave Rotherham
Matthew Wilson
Loic Brams
Harry Lowe
The concept of 'in the round' sees all artists on stage together, each contributing a song, with other artists complementing the song in an organic co-creation - a collective weaving of sorts. The format encourages camaraderie and storytelling among performers where the audience get a glimpse into the songs and the songwriters themselves.
