Soul Survival ~ Episode 1 : Art is my Religion
Event description
Soul Survival is a series of events for those weary from the world, to recalibrate and rejuvenate one's spirit through the power of 'art and music'.
'Episode 1: Art is my Religion’ has been lovingly curated by Fealofani Elisara to celebrate our resilience as humans, as seen through the lens of artists, musicians and dj's.
Although she is best known for her work as a jewellery designer, there will be NO jewellery exhibited.
Instead for this beautiful evening, she has invited artists to create a single artwork that reflects elements of their own ‘souls survival’.
From established artists and those returning to their art practice, to even artists who are exhibiting for the first time…… this exhibition is a coming together of storytellers.
Unlike traditional galleries, we have taken each 'art' piece out of a white walled space and brought it into an underground saloon that will marinade in soulful music for ONE NIGHT only, with 100% of the profits going back to the artist.
Also, for those who weren't around in the 90's 'live' soul music scene when this city was pulsating with lovers and dreamers, this highly anticipated show is an invite to those who missed out on this precious era ....and also a REUNION for those who were!
Our dj's and musicians will keep our night cosy from the Winter chill and warm our dance floor with tunes to uplift... and celebrate LIFE!
We are grateful to Charlie Lehmann for sharing his wonderful home Ramblin Rascal Tavern with us, and look forward to celebrating everything we love about our creative family.
Once tickets sell out, there will be NONE AVAILABLE at the door, so don't leave it too late to book.
On the night, you will receive a Limited Edition enamelled pin designed by Fealofani Elisara to gain and maintain entry into the venue.
We look forward to sharing all the love in our hearts, for this precious Sunday sesh! x
5:00pm: Feel free to come early to grab a table and settle in with Dj's Junior and Adam.
