Soulful Sessions
Event description
Join me for an eight-week series of breathwork and meditation at the Mind and Body House in Abbeyleix. Each week, we will concentrate on a different chakra, exploring techniques to work with and restore balance to each one. In the final week, we will harmonize and balance all seven chakras and celebrate our journey together with a special ceremony.
We begin with gentle breathwork practices and build on intensifying the breath each week.
You’re welcome to attend a single class or take advantage of discounted rates for 4 or 8-week passes.
The word “chakra” means “wheel of light” in Sanskrit, an ancient language of India. The concept comes from the Hindu and Buddhist spiritual traditions, which see chakras as energy centers in your body.
We are made up of thousands of energy channels (known as nadis) and the main places that these channels meet in the body are known as our chakras, Running up the spine, from the pelvic area up to the crown of the head, our Chakras relate to parts of the body and our emotions.
Schedule:
Week 1: Root Chakra (Muladhara) : gentle breathwork, guided meditation and visualisation.
Week 2: Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) : gentle breathwork, guided meditation and visualisation.
Week 3: Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) : gentle breathwork, guided meditation and visualisation
