Event description

Central Coast artists and industry, you’re invited to this special event presented by MusicNSW, Central Coast Council, Central Coast Music & Arts and the Live Music Office.

Join to connect with local artists and people working in the music industry and learn about sync and live performance from some of the best in the biz.

The event will feature 2 panel discussions with industry experts:

  1. Getting Started with Sync
  2. Live Performance Best Practice

Getting Started with Sync

Sync licensing is how artists have their music featured in films, TV shows, commercials, and video games. This can be an important revenue stream for artists at any stage of your career, as well as bringing your music to new audiences and boosting your profile at home and overseas. Join Geoffrey Maglonzo and Cathy Nelson Williams from international music publishers Wise Music and successful songwriter Elaskia to demystify:

  • How to prepare your music for sync
  • Building relationships with key industry contacts
  • Approaching and pitching to potential clients
  • Navigating the legal and business aspects of licensing deals

This panel will be facilitated by artist manager, radio presenter, culture consultant, DJ, and local tastemaker Nazlican Eren.

Live Performance Best Practices

You’ve got the gig - now what? Delivering a stand out performance is the next essential step. If you’re new to the stage, or looking to take your live show up a notch, this discussion will provide you with practical tips to elevate your performances and leave a lasting impression on your audience.

Join Australia’s most in-demand session musician Zoe Hauptmann, along with touring tech wizards Grady Henshaw and Eamon Smith to get all the info you need to:

  • Plan and prepare for your performances
  • Understand the technical and logistical considerations
  • Improve your confidence and stage presence
  • Engage with your audience
  • Do effective post-gig follow ups

This panel will be facilitated by Director at Grow Yourself Up and Chair at Central Coast Music & Arts, Greg Carey.
