Event description

Sound Joy is a live music event actively catering to autistic/neurodiverse kids.

It's for all kids, but we've made extra effort to make it as accessible and enjoyable for autistic kids.

Performing is the Invictus Quartet, a group of classically trained musicians who have an expansive repertoire.

The set list on the day will feature recognisable songs from Disney movies.

Something a little different for a Saturday morning.

This is the first time we've held an event like this so please feel free to suggest improvements

Support

Allied health professionals and Amaze are assisting.

Kids and parents are free to get up during the performance. The musicians don't mind.

A break room/quiet space will also be available.

Ahead of the event, you'll receive:

  • Social stories
  • Photos of the venue
  • Any additional information
  • Song list

The Location - Phoenix Park

There is a cafe, a big fenced playground and parking.

Ticket Money

This covers the cost of putting on the concert. We're aiming to break even on the first go.

Any money not spent on this concert will likely go to putting on another.

We don't have an official relationship with a specific not-for-profit or charitable organisation at the moment.

Amaze has helped with some information so far.

More information to come!

About us

I'm Courtney. Our son is autistic and, like most kids, loves music.

There weren't any weekend morning music events that supported neurodivergent kids so we decided to make one.
