SOUND MOUNTAIN day workshop with Alice Night
Event description
A day-long pilgrimage through sound, singing, & liberated creative expression.
Come and experience your voice, singing and creative freedom in a beautiful place with beautiful people. All genders, all levels of experience welcome.
This workshop is a space in which we dive deeply and lovingly into the territory of voice and singing. It is for people who are wanting to take the next step in letting themselves create and share their art. It is also for people who perhaps struggle with accepting and appreciating their voice and need support to come into right relationship with it.
Expect: creative writing exercises, aspects of songwriting, individual singing moments, duets, small group creations, whole group singing, and some rhythmic and guitar accompaniment. There will also be some playful exercises that invite us to practice making a fool out of ourselves so we can free up as people, performers and creators. This workshop will have some ritualistic elements as you are invited to connect with yourself, your body and the natural world, and to sing from there.
Laughter is welcome, tears are welcome, both are common in spaces like this where healing of one kind or another is inevitable.
