• What are the Sapphic Sounds Community Guidelines?

  When attending a Sapphic event, please respect our community guidelines (the bottom line? You can serve c*nt, but you can't act like one x)

  Consent is KEY: Always ask for enthusiastic consent before engaging in any physical contact or interactions. No means no, and boundaries must be respected at all times. For our club nights, we also ask you to please respect our DJs and artists: no touching and no song requests. Please respect their creativity and talent.

  Zero tolerance policy: We have zero tolerance for any hate and discrimination. Any form of hate speech, offensive behaviour such as racism, transphobia, fatphobia, homophobia and misogyny will not be tolerated.

  Report any concerns: If you experience or witness any behaviours that make you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please report to security, bar staff or Sapphic Sound’s staff.

  If you are found to have breached these guidelines, you may be liable for immediate removal from the venue with no ticket refund available.

• Who are Sapphic Sounds events for?

  Sapphic events cater to our FLINTA whānau (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans and Agender people), a group that is often underrepresented in mainstream events and nightlife spaces. Our aim is to create a safe, inclusive, and celebratory environment where this community is centred.

  Wider members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies are always welcome to attend, as long as they are respectful, mindful, and supportive of the space we’ve created.

• Can I get a refund if I can't come anymore?

  Absolutely queen, life happens and we are happy to provide you with a 100% refund up to one day before the event. Simply request it through your Humantix account, and it will be automatically processed for you, no questions asked x

• Do you have any community concessions you could offer?

  If the ticket cost is a barrier for you, please message us directly to access a community concession hellosapphicsounds@gmail.com or DM on instagram @sapphicsound. We encourage you to use this if you need it, no questions asked!

  If you are in a position to purchase a full-price ticket, we also ask you to be mindful that this helps support community members who may need concession access.

• How do I get there?

  The Mothership is right in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, so it’s super easy to get to whether you’re taking public transport, walking, or grabbing a ride.

  If you’re catching public transport, there are heaps of bus options along Queen Street, and Waitematā Station is just a short walk away if you’re coming by train (SLAY CRL(.

  Walking in? Easy — if you’re already around the CBD or Queen Street, you’re basically there. It’s nice and central, so you won’t have to go far.

  If you’re driving, there’s some on-street parking nearby and a few parking buildings around the city. Just keep an eye on the signs for limits and fees.

  We definitely recommend public transport, rideshare, or carpooling if you can. And if you’re planning on having a drink, make sure you’ve got a safe way to get home sorted — Uber, a sober driver, or public transport all the way.
