Soundscapes Youth Writing Workshop

Soundscapes, as part of the Lakes Festival 2025, is hosting a writing workshop for young people aged 12 - 18 years old at Norah Head Lighthouse & the surrounding area. It's an opportunity to explore the natural area and be inspired by what we find around us.
A place of diverse natural beauty, plus a powerful and rich history, the site offers so much inspiration.
What stories will be sparked...? Sea creatures, mermaids, wishing trees, shipwrecks, voyages, a moment captured in time....the possibilities are endless.
We will meet at the big anchor near the Lighthouse carpark and walk from there, down to the beach to explore the natural area and use this environment to spark new stories or creative ideas.
Bring a pen, paper, hat, sunscreen and water.
