South African Freedom Day Braai - Manly dam

Freedom day Braai at Manly dam

For the 7th year running,  join us to have a Bring en Braai at the dam for Freedom Day.   Its a little early this year to avoid Eater and Anzac, and the Land Cove Braai in May. 


BYO food and drinks.  The cost is just to cover the hire of the spot at Manly damn picnic area ($80 for the sites with a table)-  we are booked in section 4.   

Bring any food and drinks you might like, swimming cossies and sunscreen, chairs and picnic blankets.
 

We may also need some extra firewood and grills, so if you have these, let Colleen know.
What has worked really well in the past is to each bring one item to share - perhaps a salad or snacks or other good braai sharing food.

There are some trails and great mountain biking track and you can swim in the dam and there'll be great company, so you can make a day of it.


This is a Friends of South Africa Social Event,  so don't worry if you don't know anyone yet.  Its a  great opportunity to come and meet some new friendly faces.  

There's no charge to get in the park, but parking at manly dam is pay and display and is expensive, it's easier to think of as your park entrance fees. Northern beaches permit holders are exempt.
If you're not driving, I suggest reaching out for a lift or organising an uber.

The dam has a very strict closing time of 5:30pm.
