South Gippsland Landcare Network 2024 AGM

All SGLN members and guests are warmly invited to attend SGLN's Annual General Meeting featuring special guest speaker: Tarwin River Forest steward, Stuart Inchley. Stuart will share his and Victoria Johnson’s uplifting story about their quest to preserve the ecologically significant area of forest at the eastern headwaters of the Tarwin River. 

South Gippsland Biodiversity Protection Plan
We will present the long-awaited BPP at this meeting. Each SGLN Landcare Group will receive two copies free of charge. Hard copies of the BPP will be available for sale on the night for $20 (cash only). Attendees can also select to pre-purchase a printed copy of the Biodiversity Protection Plan at event registration check-out on Humantix by selecting the $20 AGM ticket + $20 BPP option. Attendees who select this option will be able to collect their copy of the BPP at the AGM.

Special business

Amend SGLN’s Statement of Purpose and Rules by adopting the motion: That the draft Statement of Purpose and Rules of South Gippsland Landcare Network dated 6 August 2024 be adopted with effect from 15 October 2024.

Ordinary business
● confirm the minutes of the 2023 Annual General Meeting (held 11 October 2023)
● receive the 2023-24 Annual Report
● receive and consider the financial statements submitted by the Board to members in accordance with s.100(1) of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 
● set SGLN’s annual subscription fee
● appoint Cardell Accountants as auditor
● elect up to five (5) ordinary Board members
● elect the Executive Board members.

Board nominations: Financial members of SGLN or SGLN Landcare Groups may nominate for Board positions. Completed nomination forms must be received by the Secretary (secretary@board.sgln.net.au) no later than 5pm, Monday 14 October 2024.

Voting: Financial members of SGLN or SGLN Landcare Groups are entitled to vote at the meeting in person or by proxy. Completed proxy forms must be received by the Secretary (secretary@board.sgln.net.au) no later than 5pm, Monday 14 October 2024.

Venue: Open Gippsland Lounge Bar, located at 48 Bair Street, Leongatha [enter via door opposite IGA carpark].
Open Gippsland is a hidden speakeasy-style lounge bar crafted from local timbers and reclaimed materials. Specialising in Gippsland wines, spirits, beers and food, the seasonal share plate menu features locally and ethically sourced ingredients.

Tickets
$20 each (excluding credit card fees). This includes a selection of platters featuring local Gippsland produce. Wine and soft drinks at bar prices.
