Event description

SCAPE Public Art is organising a beach clean up as an extension of the environmental message in Stone Maka’s sculpture, Pīngao, which talks about the need for dune restoration. What better slice of paradise to tend than South Brighton Beach, home of the artist.

Help us pick up wind-blown litter and abandoned debris, share kai, and hear about Stone's vision for public art out by the beach.

Bring:

  • whanau and friends
  • sunhats and sunscreen
  • water bottle
  • gardening gloves, if you have them
  • your love of nature

Meet us at Te Karoro Karoro Reserve near the South Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club, intersection of Marine Parade and Bridge Street.

This is a free event.

Thank you for registering; it helps us a lot with catering.
